Résumé of Amy B. Tynes, CPA, CFE, CGMA – Partner
Amy Tynes joined our firm in August 2001. She graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in December 1996. Throughout college, she worked as a dispatcher at the University’s airport, as an accounting tutor, and in retail clothing. She also performed with the Rapides Symphony Orchestra and Natchitoches/Northwestern Symphony Orchestra playing the cello. Amy was involved in Beta Gamma Psi, Alpha Lambda Delta, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies.
After college, she worked in retail banking for one year and as head accountant of a mid-size public housing authority for three years. Amy’s accounting and auditing experience is in governmental entities, which includes proficiency in the Governmental Auditing Standards, OMB Compliance Supplements, and Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments and Non-Profit Organizations and HUD reporting.
Amy completed the CPA exam in December 2005. Amy became a partner in the firm on October 1, 2008. Additionally, Amy completed the requirements to become a Certified Fraud Examiner in April 2014.
Amy enjoys playing the cello, hunting, playing sports, and spending time with her family.
