Margie Williamson, CPA, is an audit manager at Allen, Green & Williamson with more than three decades of experience in public accounting. As an experienced governmental auditor, Margie specializes in audits for school boards, housing authorities, non-profits, and commercial entities.
Margie has worked in public accounting since 1991, focusing primarily on accounting and auditing. Her experience includes performing audits under generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS), the Single Audit Act Amendments of 1996, Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Compliance Supplement, Circulars A-128 and A-133, and the GASB 34 reporting model.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM) in 1989 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She received a scholarship for academic achievement from a local bank and gained early experience in public accounting while working part-time during school.
